Nicholas Enser, Owner
nenser@FirehouseAccounting.com
With 10+ years governmental, non-profit and private accounting experience and 15+ years in the fire service, Nick realized a gap existed between the typical financial information Fire and EMS agencies receive from Treasurers, and the information & analysis they really need to make impactful financial decisions.
Having transformed the financials for multiple agencies, Nick created Firehouse Accounting, LLC to focus on bringing better financials and understanding to Boards of Directors and Executives of Fire Companies, Departments, Districts and EMS Agencies.
Nick graduated from the University at Buffalo with a BS in Business Administration from the School of Management, and subsequently focused on accounting with an MBA from St. Bonaventure University, where he earned an Excellence Graduate Award. He has worked in accounting for public companies in the aerospace and technology industries, as well as Fire & EMS agencies. Nick sits on the Board of Directors for the Hamburg High School Academy of Finance, is a New York State Notary, and serves as Fiscal Officer for multiple NYS Fire & EMS agencies.
Nick has served 15 years with the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department in Hamburg, NY; 6 years as an EMT, and currently 7 years as a fire officer. Nick is currently the Captain of the UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) team, and serves as Department Treasurer.
